Guy Ritchie to direct TV series

MadonnaandGuy.jpgGuy Ritchie doesn't look set for retirement just yet as he has been snapped up by ABC to direct a pilot for a new drama series.

I have to come to the guy's defense here and say that I just saw Revolver for the first time and although it is a whole heap of confusion in the latter part of the film, not knowning who is really who and why, there are some great ideas in it and visually it is superb. I think that if they had revisited the script a few times before filming they might have just pulled off a good film.

So we know he's got style, he just needs a strong script behind him, so could the tale of Suspects be the one? This is a procedural crime drama that looks at each of the suspects in a recently committed crime until the truth is finally revealed in the last episode, according to the news report in Reuters.

Now I like that idea. You know it'll have twists and turns, it will show different aspects of the crime and reveals each week, and it should have a great surprise at the end. Perhaps there's even going to be some tie in with guessing who did it off line.

I'm not usually into talking about TV here, but I think this could be a good move for Ritchie. What do you think? Oh, and Madonna doesn't star.

Whatever your script is like...if the punters don't want to sleep with the star, you may never be asked to write another one.
