Interactive Zodiac killing timeline online

Zodiac_Poster.jpgZodiac is a film I'm really eager to see. It's the latest from David Fincher who is a great director, and it looks at the true case of the Zodiac killer who has never been caught. Now the official site has started something that's quite chilling, an online Zodiac timeline which looks like that track they use in Without a Trace.

You can look through events from the murders and the investigation, see actual notes the killer wrote, crime scene photographs and much more. It is quite spooky to read through and I was surprised how I felt odd and actually gave up.

If you feel inclined you can take a look yourself over at the Zodiac Timeline through Bloody Disgusting, otherwise just head to the official site to see about the film. I love that intro with the rolling mist across the bridge. Iconic and very chilling. This film looks set to be a beauty.

Written by James Vanderbilt and adapted from the book by Robert Graysmith entitled Zodiac Unmasked: The Identity of America's Most Elusive Serial Killer Revealed. It tells the story of how he along with Police and Journalists, became obsessed with trying to track down the killer. It has a host of stars in the film including Robert Downey Jr. and Jake Gyllenhaal.

I wonder why psychokillers are (somehow) fascinating. The victims cause us the deepest indifference, but the feats of these monsters attract our attention.

That tells a lot about us, the people.

Otherwise, this is an excellent link.

My youngest sister just saw this recently and I remembered that I also wanted to look at this timeline at one point.
