Rachael Taylor joins Shutter remake
There's another remake of an Asian horror on the way, this time it's Shutter and Rachael Taylor who will be seen in Transformers, is signed up for the lead.
The original Thai film has a young photographer and his girlfriend seeing mysterious shadows in his photographs after fleeing from an accident where they hit a girl after driving away from a boozy night out. As they investigate they begin to find that there are other photographs carrying these strange shadows, and the ghost of the girl begins to prey on them.
I haven't seen it, but the main idea in the film is quite an interesting one, and isn't there a game based on it? See I think they're starting to get the right idea here, don't remake the well known Asian films, pick ones that aren't so well known, in fact choose ones that have a great idea, aren't that well executed or well known.
However, saying that Shutter is still quite well known and it's just because Roy Lee is having to look further for his remakes.
The story from Coming Soon tells us that the film is due to start shooting in Tokyo next month.
