Rogue pulled from release
The next film from Greg McLean, the man who brought us Wolf Creek (Filmstalker review) has been working on a new film called Rogue, about a killer crocodile. It was due for release this Friday in the US, but it looks like it's been pulled from the schedule.
The film stars Radha Mitchell, Michael Vartan and Sam Worthington, and is the story of a boat tour in an Australian National Park that after going into uncharted waters gets hit from beneath, starts sinking and is beached on a mud bank nearby. The tide is rising and the mud bank is disappearing, and time is running out for the group as they realise there is a rogue crocodile after them.
Oooh. Sounds fun, but a killer croc film? I'm not so sure about. Then there's the names involved and McLean himself, surely there's got to be something special in there?
So why the schedule pulling? Well according to the story in HorrorMovies.ca there's another crocodile film called Primeval which is also due for release that day. However there's no word of the Weinstein's releasing Rogue elsewhere, as yet.
