Wagner auditioned for Wonder Woman?

JillWagner.jpgRumours again as another possibility is mentioned for the role of Joss Whedon's Wonder Woman, this time it's Jill Wagner from the Blade TV series.

According to a comment she made in an interview she's being considered for a few roles, Wonder Woman being one of them. Talking about what other roles she had coming up she said:

"I would would love to do a movie with an Urban Cowboy feel to it, I am reading one right now, so who knows. I met with the guys over at Silver pictures about some things and Wonder Woman was one of them."

The quote comes from FlickDirect who have quite a large interview with her about Blade: The Series, Punk'd and her life in general.

Having a quick look at some pictures of her, she's pretty gorgeous, 5ft 8inches (1.83metres) and looks fit enough to carry the role judging by some of the pictures I found while looking for a little thumbnail image of her.

Could she be in the running, or has she just blown it for herself? If I were in negotiation for a role or even just consideration I wouldn't mention it, deny it, and unless I knew I had either 100% got it or 100% lost it, I wouldn't say anything.

What do you think? A good choice? Could she be in the running? Could anyone considering where the film is in development right now, i.e. not very far?

When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."
- Jack Burton, Big Trouble in Little China
