24 director talks 24 the film
So where is 24 the film? Here's the director of the TV series to spill the beans and talk a little about what we should expect to see from the film, and more importantly when we should expect to see it.
To be fair we know quite a bit of this already, the film isn't happening this season break and that the format will most likely be an hour of normal film setup with a final hour of real time action. It will be the multiple box format though.
Here's what Jon Cassar said that's new about the film from IFMagazine through WorstPreviews:
"The movie is going to be its own beast. It's not going to have any connection to the show at all. It will be sort of probably be in between a couple of seasons with really no connection. The way it's written now, there's no connection, but that might change......They've talked to me about directing, there's no deal in place, and I really don't want to say until there is one...It's really more about Kiefer than anyone else. It's about Kiefer being comfortable. And as he puts it, we've done about 25 movies together, I've directed 47 episodes now. To him, it feels like I've directed 25 movies."
Sounds like he's the right choice to direct the film, I mean after so many successful series on television how could you not think that this guy should direct the film?
I think it's a great idea to keep the film away from the series, make it a complete series on it's own, it'll be much more accessible and receive a much wider audience. With the winning 24 formula how could it not work?
