Awaken the Dead trailer with zombie killing priest!

AwakentheDead.jpgI've been sitting on the trailer for Awaken the Dead for ages, and I can only blame my overflowing mailbox and hefty workload, at least I'm finally posting it.

Awaken the Dead is a film about two strangers who are brought together by a mysterious red envelope. It draws them to a safe house as the rest of the world is infected by an experimental virus that transforms the living into the living dead. Together they have to fight to save themselves and find out why they have been drawn together.

Interestingly she is a prostitute who has been hiding from the world, and he is a former assassin who has found god and become a priest.

Looking at the trailer [QT:H] you can see it's looking quite stylish, and there's something about man of the cloth with weapons that just looks cool. The trailer shown here is marked as one from early rough footage, and since I've had this email there's not been a new one put in its place.

The official site has a bunch of good press quotes about the film as well as a load of information including the soundtrack to listen to. So if you're a fan of non-mainstream horror then it might well be worth a look.
