Another bizarre rumour floating about and this one involving Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes as Cage announces that he is trying to get a She-Hulk film off the ground and that he wants Mendes to play the aforementioned green lady!

Part of me thinks that this is superb timing for the Ghost Rider film and that this is all just extra press, but perhaps there is some truth in it? Mind you it's the pair from Ghost Rider and it was during the press junket for that very film...I'm dubious.

Today during the press junket for Ghost Rider, Nicolas Cage revealed to a surprised group of journalists that he is currently trying to get She-Hulk off the ground with Eva to star as the lead green she-monster.

Bets that this is just rumour mongering to stir up press for Rider?

For those that don't know Jennifer Walters is the cousin of Bruce Banner and on a day that Bruce happens to be visiting she gets shot and seriously wounded and is in desperate need of blood. Obviously no donors are available apart from Bruce, and he's filled with that green blood. The next thing they know, she's a female Hulk.

Mendes in this? Well I was surprised she was in Rider, but would she follow Cage into this film, if it's more than press fodder?

Update: As I thought, thanks to Michael from MoviesOnline, it was made up by Cage, and probably managed to get them the deserved press attention for such a simple one liner.

After he made the humorous comments, he was asked specifically what the status of a She-Hulk project is and his response, quote: "No, no it’s just something I came up with."

Well done, now do the same for your career why don't you. That's Cage, not Michael!
