The new Eddie Murphy film Norbit is released tomorrow in the US and the rest of the world from then until April, and we have some clips of Charlie Murphy, Eddie's brother and co-writer of Norbit, talking about the film, Steven Spielberg and family life.

First up, Charlie talks about the idea of the film [QT:L], then he discusses how he heard from Spielberg on the script [QT:L], the character of Rasputia [QT:L], the make-up effects from Rick Baker[QT:L], and finally he discusses growing up and some of the families around them [QT:L].

I actually had no idea that the Murphy brothers wrote the story that Jay Scherick and David Ronn turned into the final screenplay. I'm still not personally sure if I'll give this a go, but the clips have turned out to be more entertaining than I had first thought. I guess there's also a lot to be said when Spielberg called wanting to get the film made.
