Estevez for Stone's 9/11 Jawbreaker
Oliver Stone seems set to cast Emilio Estevez in his latest 9/11 film Jawbreaker. After completing he is staying on the post 9/11 topic with Jawbreaker.
According to a previous story back in October:
...has Cyrus Nowrasteh as the writer of the second draft of the script Jawbreaker, he has previously written the ABC miniseries The Path to 9/11. The script is based on the memoirs of Gary Bernsten, a CIA agent who coordinated the efforts of the CIA and Special Operations Forces.
According to Devin over at CHUD, the book is badly written and the dialogue is poor, that said Nowrasteh and Stone could turn it into something special, or perhaps something extremely cheesy and overly patriotic.
Devin carries the news from The Hollywood News that Estevez is in talks to appear in the film, but as yet we don't know what role he's likely to play, but considering his current Hollywood status I would think we're looking at a pretty major role.
It's interesting to see Stone continue on the story and move onto the Afghanistan war and the hunt for Bin Laden. I wonder if we'll see him move onto the Iraq war after this?
