Gazza joins Winstone in film

Gazza.jpgPaul Gascoigne aka Gazza is an ex-England and Newcastle United footballer who is particularly well known in Britain. He's had a turbulent career it's fair to say, one which does mirror the life of a Hollywood celebrity. Now though he's set to join them in a horror film called Final Run.

He'll be acting alongside Lois Winstone, the daughter of the incredibly talented British actor Ray Winstone. The film is billed, as reported by the BBC, as...

...a cross between Black Hawk Down and Alien, the movie is set in the near future and follows the aftermath of an alien invasion of Earth.

Wow, presumably not with the same budgets though. Gascoigne will play a misguided survivor of the invasion who is struggling with his own future survival and that of humanity as a whole.

Interesting indeed. Come on Gazza, let's see if you can act!

Steve McCroskey: Jacobs, I want to know absolutely everything that's happened up till now.
Jacobs: Well, let's see. First the earth cooled. And then the dinosaurs came, but they got too big and fat, so they all died and they turned into oil. And then the Arabs came and they bought Mercedes Benzes. And Prince Charles started wearing all of Lady Di's clothes. I couldn't believe it.
