Lukas Haas, who gave such a great performance in Brick (Filmstalker review) has joined While She Was Out as a leader of a gang of kids. The film is a real-time thriller starring Kim Basinger as a woman who witnesses a murder and the gang set out to terrorise her, presumably they are the ones who committed the murder.

Jamie Starr, Leonard Wu and Luis Chávez are the rest of the gang members according to Yahoo Movies.

Interestingly Guillermo del Toro is an executive producer on the project.

Susan Montford, who is a producer and Scottish, makes her directorial debut on a script she has written. From the original blurb you might not be blamed for thinking Ils (Them - Filmstalker review), however it does sound like there are great possibilities for something frightening and tense.
