Hopkins to play Hitchcock?
We heard some time ago about the plans to make a film about Alfred Hitchcock and the difficult production of Psycho, previously Ryan Murphy was slated to direct with John McLaughlin writing the screenplay called Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho, a nice catchy title.
Now news has come forward that the film has been retitled, thankfully, that it has also been delayed slightly, and that two heavyweight British actors are being eyed for leads.
According to the report from Hollywood-Elsewhere.com through UK IGN, the film is now titled Alfred Hitchcock Presents, after his long running TV series.
Other news is that Murphy is going to first direct Dirty Tricks before this film, and most exciting of all is that the studio is trying to get Anthony Hopkins to play Hitchcock and Helen Mirren his wife. Now that's superb casting if you ask me.
