Hopper to star in King's Dolan's Cadillac
Dennis Hopper is in negotiations to take the leading role in a new Stephen King adaptation, this time of a short story called Dolan's Cadillac from his collection Nightmares and Dreamscapes.
Hopper is scheduled to play James Dolan who is Las Vegas' most ruthless mob boss and practically untouchable. One evening Francey Robinson witnesses an execution that she shouldn't have seen and Dolan targets her for the same fate. She is murdered and the police don't want to chase the crime any further, so her husband Tom sets about seeking his own revenge.
The news comes from Production Weekly which really does go to show that King is making a huge comeback in film. There's project after project on the go right now for him.
If you could chose a King story to have adapted for the big screen what would you like to see? I'd keep saying Gunslinger again and again, and I'm eagerly awaiting The Talisman, even if it is a mini-series, what about you?
