More Prince Caspian casting news

TheChroniclesofNarniaI_Poster.jpgThe rumour of Ben Barnes (I got it right that time) being picked to play Prince Caspian has been confirmed, which does suggest that those behind the production of The History Boys stage show to which he was attached are going to be slightly miffed.

According to Andrew Adamson he's definitely on for the role in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian:

We have officially cast Prince Caspian finally after a very long search... He's a very talented young British actor named Ben Barnes...Ben is a very accomplished young man, he's been getting a lot of good reviews lately for a play that he has on the West End. He came to us very late in the game and he just blew us away. He's going to be a great addition to the cast. I think he'll really fit in well with the other kids."

He also says that they haven't yet cast King Miraz, according to the news in New Zealand Herald through Coming Soon, so we have some wait to hear about that role.

However there is news from Variety through Coming Soon that Alicia Borrachero has been cast as Prunaprismia, the wife of King Miraz. Miraz is the baddie in this one if you didn't know.

Adamson has certainly done some interesting casting...i wonder what these young new actors that land roles in this series will end up doing post-narnia?
