More rumours today, they just can't be avoided nowadays and are as much a part of the marketing process as anything else. The latest is regarding The Mummy 3 and the story that it might just never be made.

You'll remember that I wrote about the odd turnabout from Brendan Fraser being touted as singed and Rachel Weisz in negotiations, to Fraser having read the script and waiting a call, and Weisz not being talked to at all. In fact the stories have been distancing themselves for a little while now.

Over at Cinema Blend they've been whispered a big rumour, but a possible one none the less. Fraser is holding out for more money because the script is rubbish, and that's not Fraser's word alone, it's the studio's too.

I was always surprised that Weisz was coming back to this series since her career has moved on so well, but I wasn't too surprised at Fraser. However if the script is that bad then maybe he'd be better forgetting the money anyway and just moving on.
