Night is Day - a Scottish webseries
There's an interesting low budget and self funded project called Night is Day coming out of Scotland. It's a webseries telling the story of a man who develops the power to see into the future and to project electricity from himself into others. Using these he decides to protect those he sees in danger.
The writer/director of the project dropped me a note to tell us about the series:
We plan on making 6 10-15 minute episodes and releasing them online monthly...once all the 6 episodes are complete we will release a DVD in hope of getting a distribution deal allowing us to make a second series or a low budget feature film.
So far the first episode is free and there is a clip from the second episode available to watch online. You can watch them online for the moment and high quality versions will be available on DVD in the future.
Each episode costs a mere £1 to watch, and if you sign up for all six episodes you pay a mere £5 and you get the DVD release with all six episodes once it's complete. It's a great deal.
The production is above par and I've found that after the first episode I'm actually interested to see where it goes, especially with the clips for the second.
You can read more about the series over on the official site as well as seeing the other episodes. Right now though you can watch the first episode right here...
What do you think? I'm quite surprised for it being totally self funded, and interested to see where it goes from here.
