Prince Caspian cast?

TheChroniclesofNarniaI_Poster.jpgThe news is that Prince Caspian has been cast in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, he's the lead don't you know. Apparently the actor has dropped his role on the leading stage production of The History Boys to head off for Hollywood.

A spokesperson for the National Theatre said yesterday: "Ben Barnes has decided to leave The History Boys early, before his contract is finished. It is something we are taking very seriously. He has accepted an offer to be in a children's Disney film and we have had to fly Jamie King back at extremely short notice this week."

Well done to Jamie King Ben Barnes, if the reports from Times Online through Coming Soon are true.

A source tells the paper that KingBarnes has actually signed a three film deal, if that's true then could we expect a Prince Caspian in the next three Narnia films if they happen? I'm not up on my Narnia books, but could someone who is tell us if that would work?

It's actually Ben Barnes, not Jamie King, that may have the role of Prince Caspian.

Oops! Thanks for that Paul, it says so right in the quote. That's me typing half asleep again.

Okay fixed Paul, thanks for that. Now since you are a Narnia resource fancy answering the question for us, or did you just pop by to point out the mistake?

All I can say is that having seen The History Boys, Ben Barnes is not among the original cast that performed in the National Theater production so I couldnt really comment on his performance.

Haha... I stumbled upon your story. And you probably know by now that it's a fact that he's been cast.

Yep, thanks Paul! Keep coming back though!

I'm planning to! This is a great new movie news site (well, new to me).
