Rambo IV gets a new name
Rambo IV: Pearl of the Cobra, which was formerly Rambo IV: In the Serpent's Eye, has now been retitled again and is following the same track as Rocky Balboa (Filmstalker review), it will now be called simply John Rambo. Since that's the guy's name.
Seems to make sense, and the previous titles did seem like working titles to be fair, still it's a strong move as it's the simple identifier for the film and it works well. It conjures up what is needed to the audience, and reminds them of the final Rocky film title, perfect.
The story comes from a scooper who writes to Moviehole through Cinema Blend.
Now, for the film, will it do for Rambo what Rock Balboa did for Rocky? Can it be treated the same the way or does this different franchise need handled slightly differently? Does it even matter?
