Stalked: Grace's Taken, Garfield with Redford and Simm's Van Gogh
Maggie Grace from Lost is in Taken, Andrew Garfield will debut on Lions for Lambs, and John Simm will play Van Gogh.
First up is the little announcement that Lost's Maggie Grace has been signed up for the film Taken starring Liam Neeson and written by Luc Besson. She plays the estranged daughter of Neeson's character who is kidnapped and sold into the slave trade. Neeson plays the tough guy who is an ex spy who uses all his skills to track her down, rescue her, and presumably make the bad guys pay. From Yahoo News.
Andrew Garfield is a British stage actor who is about to make his step into the big screen in a big way. He's set to star in the Robert Redford film Lions for Lambs, alongside such names as Meryl Streep and Tom Cruise, as well as in The Other Bolyen Girl with Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson. According to Yahoo News he was named the Most Promising Newcomer by the Critics Circle Theater Awards and Outstanding Newcomer at the Evening Standard Awards for his stage roles. Well done Garfield, another great British talent heads to Hollywood.
John Simm, the star of British TV shows such as Life on Mars, is set to play Van Gogh in an upcoming Channel 4 film about the famous painter called The Yellow House. According to The Independent through Hello Magazine, he says:
"There was no way on earth I could turn it down"
Well no, it's a tremendous role, and Channel 4 have a reputation for making some great films. Could this be one of them?
