Stalked: Spies Like Us, Kingdom, Dark Knight, Pulse, Feast
The trailer for Peter Berg's The Kingdom is in Quicktime format and it is looking superb, there's news on the rumours of Jamie Foxx and Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight, Spies Like Us is heading for a remake while Pulse is heading for two sequels.
The Kingdom stars Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, Chris Cooper, and Jeremy Piven in a film about an FBI unit sent to Saudi Arabia to investigate the killings of American citizens in a bombing attack on a US facility. You can see the trailer over at Apple Trailers [QT:S:M:L:iPod]. It's certainly looking great in Quicktime.
Jamie Foxx's publicist has denied the Harvey Dent rumours for The Dark Knight. IGN through Moviehole have the quote:
"No truth to it whatsoever," Foxx's publicist Alan Neirob
However Aaron Eckhart's agency declined to comment.
The John Landis comedy Spies Like Us is being given the remake treatment according to Moviehole. This version is being written by the trio of writers who gave us Euro Trip, so expect little. Who are they going to get to replace Dan Ackroyd and Chevy Chase though? Another great film bites the dust.
According to Moviehole again, the producer Joel Soisson is not only working on the two Feast sequels but also two direct to DVD Pulse sequels. Pulse was the Hollywood remake of the Asian horror Kairo about the dead crossing over into the world of the living through technology and killing them one by one. The sequel didn't really do fantastically, so two DVD sequels might do okay.
