The Ten trailer is online
There's a trailer online for a star studded film called The Ten. I hadn't heard of the film, or the director's previous film Wet Hot American Summer, and despite the trailer failing to intrigue me, the cast certainly does have me hooked.
Famke Janssen, Liev Schrieber, Winona Ryder, Ron Silver, Jessica Alba, Justin Theroux, Gretchen Mol, Paul Rudd, Adam Brody, and so on. I'm probably most excited about Janssen as I was so surprised at her excellent performance in The Treatment (Filmstalker review) which was just superb. Since then I've been keen to see her more dramatic work, as well as seeing her onscreen again because after all she is stunningly gorgeous. There's also the much under used Platt, who I really do rate highly and yet never really see him taking a strong leading role in a big film, that would be nice to see as he always tends to play the next few characters back from the camera.
The story is something we heard about some time ago, a series of ten stories which look at the Ten Commandments in a modern style. What I'm most surprised about is that this is billed as a comedy and nothing else. Still, should be worth watching.
Have a look at the trailer and see if you can make more sense of it than I can, purely at tis moment I'm hookoed by the cast list, but perhaps the writer/director David Wain would be the attracting reason.
Here's the trailer...
