Timothy Dalton is the latest ex-Bond to come out and praise Daniel Craig for his Casino Royale (Filmstalker review) performance, and quite rightly so.He says:

"Daniel was a wonderful Bond in a great James Bond movie. I'm delighted for him."

Okay, it's not much, but it's praise from one of the other top Bond's in my opinion. The story comes from WENN through Starpulse News Blog. The rest is hearsay with no direct quote, but he apparently said that Craig was one of the best Bonds yet and he was bemused at the criticism he received before the film.

Well I wouldn't have expected anything less from Dalton, although if I was him I'd be a bit miffed that they finally took the plunge and made Bond a bit more human successfully after he tried and was dropped.
