Boy in the Striped Pajamas moves forward
The Boy in The Striped Pajamas looks set to be pushed forward in development. It's the story of a German family who are moved to the town of Auschwitz to live. The Father has been moved there by a posting from Hitler himself. The son of the family begins a friendship with a boy on the other side of the fence of the concentration camp.
The film is being adapted from the novel by John Boyne and will be directed by Mark Herman who also adapted the novel for the big screen according to Variety.
It certainly sounds an strong but harrowing story, you can just tell the direction it's going to take, and it's not going to be easy viewing. However is it going to tell us anything new about these times? Is it going to offer a different take?
