Clooney looks to Grisham's non-fiction novel
George Clooney is looking set to develop John Grisham's non-fiction book for the big screen as his production company teamed up with Warner Independent Pictures to buy the rights in December and now filmmaker David Gordon Green is in talks to write and direct the adaptation.
According to Reuters the novel tells the true story of Ron Williamson who was wrongly convicted of murder and spent more than ten years on death row in Oklahoma.
Green has previously written and directed Undertow and Snow Angels.
I've not really been a big Grisham fan, but this non-fiction story might win him new fans, particularly as Clooney's company looks set to recruit Green to take on the task.
