Dean Martin birthday releases

DeanMartin.jpgThis really will have no interest outside of myself, but I don't really care because I am a huge Dean Martin fan, I love swing and Martin is probably one of the best singers of swing there is, especially with the complete persona that he created.

So for me alone, there's some great news that for his 90th Birthday, or rather the anniversary of his birth since he's no longer alive, Paramount is releasing some of his films where he starred alongside Jerry Lewis in some classic comedies.

Personally I'd prefer to see some more of his musical performances on screen, but partnered with Lewis they did produce some pretty fun stuff.

So the news from DVD Times is that the following films are being released on Region 2:

Living It Up, Pardners, Sailor Beware, The Geisha Boy, Rock A Bye Baby, The Family Jewels and The Disorderly Orderly

So there you have it, a nice little story for me!

Hey pallie, like so cool to meet 'nother Dinolover. Thanks for sharin' the Dinonews. Like you I wish more of Dino's musical performances would be like released. Lovers of all things Dino especially are awaitin' the day when all episodes of the Dean Martin Variety Show will be released in full seasons. Never was, never will be anyone as cool as the King of Cool. Oh, to return to the days when Dino walked the earth. Yours in Dinodevotion, Dino Martin Peters

I do like Dean Martin too! I dont own any of his albums but he's one of those singers I have admiration for alongside Frankie.

Any update on that proposed Dean Martin biopic?

Not a thing. I really should go and track that one down.

Hey pallies, have been lookin' for info on the Dinobio, but so far nothin' has surfaced.
