Emily Blunt to play Young Victoria

EmilyBlunt.jpgEmily Blunt was last seen in The Devil Wears Prada and has a list of some seven films between announced and just completed, however next up after those appears to be the portrayal of the Young Queen Victoria in a film called The Young Victoria produced by none other than Martin Scorsese.

According to Time Out she has already been cast in the Jean Marc Vallée directed film from a screenplay by Julian Fellowes. The film will look at her romance with Prince Albert and her rise to power at the young age of eighteen.

The story certainly does have scope to it, and the fact that Fellowes is writing is indeed a very great thing, however despite eight credits to Vallée's IMDB listing there's nothing there that I really know and can comment on. I think we're in for a strong script and production, but are we in for strong direction to match?

Great! More exposure on our British talent.

I haven't seen any of her work aside from Devil Wears Prada, but I loved her in that movie. I'm excited she has so many projects right now ...I looked at her IMDB page and she's pretty busy right now. I'm looking forward to seeing her in many more movies.
