LaBeouf says Indy better with a girl
Shia Labeouf is saying that he's definitely not signed up for Indiana Jones 4 and is saying that Natalie Portman would be a better choice than him.
He says that he was stunned when he heard reports that he had taken the role, and he says himself that he would rather the hero of Indy had a daughter than a son. According to the MTV story:
It's a fun rumour... but I don't have a deal on the table, I haven't signed up for anything. As an actor, you hear those kinds of things all the time. Before me, they were saying HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN was going to be that guy, and then they were going to have a daughter, who was Natalie Portman.
Wouldn't it be cooler if it was a daughter? I think that the interaction between, like, let's say it was Natalie Portman and Harrison Ford, having to deal with a woman; it could be fun to see him taking pointers from a woman."
The quote is carried in ENewsI.com and PR Inside.
Okay, great calming down of the rumour, and then he goes on to say that he wouldn't rule it out and he thinks it would be amazing if it happened.
Yeah, it's a way of countering the gossip and at the same time making sure that everyone knows he would love to do it. Chances are he's not been offered the role yet and he's pitching himself positively for it.
What do you reckon, nice deflection from the real truth? Could you see Labeouf playing the role or would Portman be better? Boy or a girl for Indy?
