The Nanny Diaries starring Scarlett Johansson, Laura Linney, Paul Giamatti, Chris Evans and Alicia Keys is being put back in the schedules by five months.

The reason given appears to be to give the film a chance for awards and also not to get lost in the sea of sequels and box office blockbusters. Although the awards comment doesn't ring true, although if it is a weaker film then the second reason sounds a lot more plausible.

According to /Film the move has the film going from April 20th to September 7th of this year. That's quite a move for any film.
