Scorsese and DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street

MartinScorsese.jpgMartin Scorsese is set to work on another new film called The Wolf of Wall Street and from accounts he'll be pulling in his oft used actor Leonardo DiCaprio.

The story is based on the autobiography of Jordan Belfort, a man who used to be a stockbroker on Wall Street until he was sent to prison for twenty months for not cooperating in the investigations into a 1990's security fraud case. The case revealed that there was corruption through Wall Street and the corporate banking industry that also involved the mob.

The news comes from Variety through CHUD.

Sounds a perfect story for Scorsese and why not bring in his old pal DiCaprio, especially as his acting just seems to be ramping up to another level. Plenty of scope for another meaty performance from the actor and some tension fillled moments from Scorsese, perhaps even to rival The Departed (Filmstalker review)?

This influence of Marty on Leo is really good. I welcome this news with open arms.
