Zack Snyder has been talking about the Watchmen again, and this time he gives away a little more than he has to date.

He does say that Tom Cruise was very interested to be in the film, but it just won't work this time, and it is a shame.

The script is about 150 pages without The Black Freighter, and probably about three hours with that storyline in.

The timeline is staying in 1985 and with the political setup of the original.

Definitely an R rating because the film needs to be hard.

There is a lot of casting already done, and it's going to be A-list orientated, but not for the sake of having A-list celebrities, but because they are right for the parts.

Oh, and Gerard Butler is in. Snyder says he does have a part for Gerry.
