Stalked: Bay films Whitley Strieber and Frears on Funerals

MichaelBay.jpgMichael Bay takes on Whitley Strieber and Stephen Frears takes on funeral directors in The Burial.

Stephen Frears is lining up his next film called The Burial. Written by Doug Wright it looks at the true story of Willie Gary, a black personal injury lawyer from Mississippi and his case of Jeremiah O'Keefe. He was the owner of a local chain of funeral homes who claimed he had been defrauded by a major conglomerate. The Hollywood Reporter tells us that the original story is based on an article by Jonathan Harr written for the New Yorker Magazine.

Michael Bay is taking on a new project called 2012: The War for Souls, a novel written by the unusual author Whitley Strieber. According to the TMZ.com story through Coming Soon Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are producing and may also write the script about the story of the end of the world in 2012. Although there's not much to be had about what the book will concern itself with 2012 is commonly seen as the latest predicted end. The last Pope arrives (woopy-doo), a comet hits the Earth, the axis swap, judgement day (not Terminator), blah, blah, blah...

Strieber is the controversial author of books such as Communion, which I've read and was thoroughly spooked out by.

about the story of the end of the world in 2012.

They can maybe mention the Olympics in London too! :) It's scary just thinking about my age come 2012, YAY!
