All new Hulk with Jessica Biel?

Hulk.jpgAvi Arad has been talking about The Incredible Hulk and he's talking about how everything in it will be new. New indeed. It seems that the colour of the Hulk is getting everyone in a state.

It's not that interesting to me if the Hulk is green or grey, after all would that have made the first film more successful? Would that have made it a better film? What is more interesting is what he said about the story.

"It's a new Hulk, new direction, new size, new color, new attitude", says Arad. "Anything that was done before is not in this movie. It's a very different kind of Hulk. It's more of a love story; it's more of a heroic Hulk. It's a kind of Hulk we loved in the show, so it's kind of more influenced by the show than anything else. It's very human, very touching, and huge action. Louis Leterrier has a unique filming style that will be great here and it's going to be spectacular."

That's the quote he gave to Collider. Moviehole also carry the rumour from Hollywood Grind that Jessica Biel has joined the film along with the previously announced Ed Norton as Bruce Banner himself.

New direction, attitude and size. More heroic and a very human tale with huge action? Well we had huge action in the first film and it was pretty ridiculous. Tell me, are these the things that were wrong with the original? Will fixing these make you come back to the Hulk story?

I don't think the first film was really that bad. I just thought it was a bit too long. I'm actually looking forward to see how this new one turns out. And I'm not even a Hulk fan.

The Illusionists re-unite.

Well, this bit of news has gotten me slightly more interested in this project. Hated the first Hulk movie because it was way too cartoony and preposterous. So this might be a nice change. Still, not a big comic book fan. But I'll keep an open mind.

I also didnt have a problem with the first Hulk film, it is an interesting role that Norton chose though. I am still curious why he did it.
