Atonement trailer in multiple formats

Atonement_Picture.jpgThe trailer for Atonement appeared a few days ago, and now we have the trailer in mutiple formats and sizes for you to enjoy.

I still think the trailer is confusing and tells you little without the help of an indepth blurb and perhaps having read the novel. However I can help out on one count because after the trailer we have the official synopsis for you to read.

The film stars Keira Knightley and the superb James McAvoy in an adaptation of the Ian McEwan novel. Here's the trailer and read over for the official synopsis.

Quicktime: High, Medium and Low
Realplayer: High, Medium and Low
Windows Media Player: High, Medium and Low

'Atonement' features Keira Knightley as Celia, James McAvoy (The Chronicles of Narnia, Wimbledon) as Robbie Turner, Saoirse Ronan who plays Briony at thirteen, Abbie Cornish (The Golden Age, Candy) who plays Briony at eighteen, and Brenda Blethyn (Pride & Prejudice, Little Voice) as Grace.

On the hottest day of the summer of 1935, thirteen-year-old Briony Tallis sees her older sister Cecilia strip off her clothes and plunge into the fountain in the garden of their country house. Watching Cecilia is their housekeeper's son Robbie Turner, a childhood friend who, along with Briony's sister, has recently graduated from Cambridge.

By the end of that day the lives of all three will have been changed forever. Robbie and Cecilia will have crossed a boundary they had never before dared to approach and will have become victims of the younger girl's scheming imagination, and Briony will have committed a dreadful crime, the guilt for which will colour her entire life.
