DC Comics Metal Men adaptation

MetalMen.jpgThe 1962 DC Comics story Metal Men is set to be adapted with Eric Champnella writing and Lauren Shuler Donner in production duties.

The original story sees a scientist creating six robots who are made out of different metals and carry the powers of each metal with them - gold, iron, platinum, mercury, lead and tin, what the power of tin could be is totally beyond me! They are built with artificial intelligence, which seems to be both their strength and their weakness.

Although the story blurb started out strongly there, the last bit just fell a little flat. It sounds like a lot of stories that have already reached the screen, but maybe they can put a different twist on it here.

The story comes from The Hollywood Reporter through Superhero Hype.

Has anyone read the comic and can comment?
