Since we're talking photos, the first shot of the leads in Get Smart has appeared online, with Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway standing side by side.

There's not much to the shot, and the real interest of this film is not in the posed photo but the updated storyline. You can see the full size image over at /Film.

What actually has me is is what they are doing with the story and how they are updating it to modern day, a world with intelligence agencies not talking to each other and protecting their own assets. From what we hear the female lead will also be much stronger.

Will this updated version work and will Carell do well in the role?
