Hopkins to star in Del Toro's The Wolfman?

AnthonyHopkins.jpgAnthony Hopkins has revealed that he may well be playiing the father of Benecio Del Toro in The Wolfman.

He says that his Agent has the script and is very keen for him to play the role, although he hasn't yet read the script for himself. That said he seems to be very keen himself. Here are his comments through Rotten Tomatoes.

"There's also a chance I may play the Wolfman in London in a movie with Benicio Del Toro...He said he just wants to make sure that the deal is all in but I play the Wolfman's father in Paris. A wonderful part."

The Wolfman is a remake of the 1941 classic The Wolf Man starring Claude Rains and Bela Lugosi. It tells the story of a man who is bitten by a werewolf and turns into one himself.

So Hopkins could be in Wolfman, it is sounding more and more promising don't you think? Or do you feel Hopkins has been losing his edge in later years?
