Jack Black may well be starring in Edgar Wright's Them alongside Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, and that's from all of them, including the writer Mike White.

White is collaborating on writing a script with Wright called Them which is described as a comedy, horror, conspiracy theory film. White describes it more as Wright's bag than his:

"I’m writing a script with him [Edgar] now. It’s like a conspiracy theory comedy horror movie. It’s a little bit out of my wheel house and a little bit more in his wheel house. I loved Shaun of the Dead and we talked about writing something together, so once our movies are finally out there and put to bed, we’re going to get together and hopefully bang it out."

The story is based on a book by Jon Ronson that is about wild conspiracy theories and is set in a world where some of these bizarre theories are actually true. He went onto say that Black may well be involved in this film, although it does sound like it has a long way to go yet.

The comments he gave to /Film and so they enquired with the rest of the team to find out if

"It’s early days, but I’m sure if it happens, Jack will be involved."

Sounds like it is a distinct possibility then. How do you feel about Black teaming up with the UK funny team? I'm a bit concerned that they might be slowly lulled over to Hollywood, hopefully not though and they can regain the strength of Shaun and keep the style of Hot Fuzz (Filmstalker review).
