Mergers & Acquisitions, Wall Street 2?

Book.jpgMergers & Acquisitions is the debut novel fro Dana Vachon, a former Investment Banker in Wall Street, and it tells the story of the lives of the young, rich and ambitious that work the money markets. It promises authenticity for one, as well as lust, power, corruption, cynicism and a fast paced energy. The book has been compared to Bright Lights, Big City, The Bonfires of the Vanities and The Devil Wears Prada.

It now seems set for a film adaptation with news from Variety that the adaptation is to be written by Mark Poirer, who has written two other screenplays in various stages of production, which are carrying very strong Hollywood cast and both directed by Noam Murro.

The book seems destined for the bestseller list and reading the blurb and looking at the connections for the screenwriter, I'd have to say that this is looking like a strong film already.
