My Name is Bruce private screening news

BruceCampbell.jpgThere's a great update from the screenwriter of My Name is Bruce, the Bruce Campbell film where he stars as the B Movie Legend Bruce Campbell, aka himself.

The story from Mark Verheiden goes something like this, while in a small town Campbell is taken for being the character from the Evil Dead trilogy, Ash, and is recruited by the residents to fight a monster. You would assume he does it with a fumble or two along the way.

The film also stars Ted Raimi and Ellen Sandweiss, yes, she was Cheryl in The Evil Dead.

Well Verheiden has been talking about the project on his blog again, and he says that he's just attended a private screening of the film.

There were laughs, there were gasps, there were... more laughs. Some new footage has been added, including the sure-to-be number one hit, "Song of Guan-Di, the Chinese Demon." You probably think I'm kidding, but I'm not...

Sounds wild, and in a funny way too. We're waiting for more details but it seems that the film might be hitting the US in the Fall - that means Autumn to us other folks.

Being a huge fan of Campbell I'm dying to see this almost as much as Bubba Nosferatu and the Curse of the She-Vampires, because I loved Bubba Ho-Tep.

I absolutely cannot wait for this movie.

Bruce Campbell Rock's. How can you not love him. Can't wait for this film.

I agree with Kate, how can you not love this guy? ;)

It was Richard here who introduced me to the world of Bruce Campbell starting with Bubba Ho-Tep and a few of the Evil Dead films.
