Stalked: McDowell in Doomsday,The Possibility of an Island and MPAA back down
A few stories to Stalk together, Malcom McDowell is joining Neil Marshall's Doomsday, novelist Michel Houellebecq to adapt and direct his own novel, and the MPAA changes a rating, except they've lowered it on appeal!
Malcolm McDowell has joined Neil Marshall's Doomsday film. He will play a scientist called Kane who is the expert on the virus called Reaper that is ravaging the planet. Along with Nelson, played by Bob Hoskins, he is assisting the elite group of soldiers who are trying to locate the cure. Rhona Mitra plays Eden, the leader of the soldiers. French novelist Michel Houellebecq is set to screenwrite and direct his own novel, The Possibility of an Island. According to Variety the story is about a futuristic world where the environment has been damaged by humans, and cults and cloning are rife.
Meanwhile the MPAA have backed down and moved the rating of The Hip Hop Project from an R to a PG-13. Apparently it received such a harsh rating because of the use of the dictionary entered word fuck. The story comes from Variety.
