Stalked: Pitt and Clooney, Hoffman and Streep

PhilipSeymourHoffman.jpgMeryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman are to star in a 1964 Catholic school paedophile story, and Brad Pitt is teaming up with George Clooney again in Burn After Reading.

Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman are teaming up in Doubt, an adaptation of a play which takes place in a Bronx Catholic School in 1964. The principal, a nun played by Streep, is a strict disciplinarian and makes accusations against a teacher, played by Hoffman, claiming that he's a paedophile. John Patrick Shanley wrote the play and the screenplay, and will also direct the film. The story comes through Variety. It sounds a belter for both Hoffman and Streep.

Brad Pitt is joining George Clooney and Frances McDormand in a film called Burn After Reading. It focuses on a CIA Agent who loses the disc of the book he is currently writing, presumably a book that looks at his life as an Agent. Joel and Ethan Coen (brother-in-law of McDormand) wrote the screenplay which is top secret, and not even Yahoo News knows any more.

Star power!

That's meant for the Hoffman and Streep pairing.
