Will The Dark Knight feature Two Face?
David S. Goyer has been talking about the Batman Begins (Filmstalker review) sequel The Dark Knight and whether or not the character of Two Face is in the film. Now for those of you who really don't know who the alter ego of Two Face is, I suggest you stop reading...although for the life of me I can't imagine anyone wouldn't!
A little while ago, although I can't find the article right now, I wrote about how The Dark Knight will have the character of the District Attorney Harvey Dent, but that although Two Face will appear it won't be until late on in the film when he is "created" in time for the sequel. My apologies, I remember writing this but I just can't find it for now.
Well when questioned by Sci Fi Wire, Goyer revealed that Two Face may not be in the film:
"I think Harvey Dent has been mentioned...I don't know that Two-Face has been mentioned...All I can say is some people raised their eyebrows when they heard there were going to be two villains in the first film [Batman Begins], but I think that one worked out just fine."
More than just fine Mr Goyer, it was superb. So is that a hint that my previous words might just be right, that Two Face will be created near the end of the film as the Joker was introduced at the end of the first? I certainly think it makes perfect sense, and the Batman films just don't work when they are overpopulated with evil characters, even if it is two.
