Craig in Zwick's Polish resistance

DanielCraig.jpgDaniel Craig is continuing his run of films outside of Bond, and he's doing a great job of keeping his career diversified and alive. He's now signed on to star in Edward Zwick's World War II Polish resistance film called Defiance.

Defiance is the true story of four brothers who are in Nazi occupied Poland who flee to the Belarussian Forest with a group of Jewish people and joins forces with the Russian resistance. The story comes from ScreenDaily through Coming Soon.

This is an interesting turn for Daniel Craig, and I have to say that I admire his choices. He's really trying to keep his career alive and not let it get swamped by the Bond character as so many actors before him have. With such films coming up as The Invasion, The Golden Compass and I, Lucifer, I don't think there's any chance of that happening.
