Dennis Hopper in Tarantino’s Hell Ride
Dennis Hopper has confirmed that he's going to star in the next "Quentin Tarantino presents" film Hell Ride.
The film comes from the Writer and Director Larry Bishop who will also star alongside Hopper, Michael Madsen and Eric Balfour. It is an old style biking film that is described as a modern The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
Over at MTV Movies Blog Dennis Hopper stays quiet about who his character really is, and he'll only give us this:
"I am playing Eddie 'Scratch' Zero …"
…and that's all he'll give us on the project before he started talking about his other projects, and what sounds really interesting is his role in Elegy, adapted from Philip Roth's novel The Dying Animal.
He stars alongside Penelope Cruz, Ben Kingsley, Patricia Clarkson, Deborah Harry and Peter Sarsgaard.
"I play Ben Kingsley's best friend. We are both womanizers and college professors, and I am giving him advice on how to have an affair with a younger woman."
This film has been sounding interesting from the opening word, and it carries a strong cast too. I'm intrigued more by Elegy than I am by Hell Ride. I'd much rather see Hopper play it straight these days than go for the crazy character…mind you saying that, seeing him and Madsen together could be pretty wild.
