D-War trailers
I've totally missed out on the "other" Korean monster film destined for mainstream, D-War, however a trailer popping up online grabbed my attention and made me take notice.
I have to say it doesn't look in the same ballpark as The Host (Gwoemul) was, although on effects and sheer scale you have to admit they've gone for it.
The effects, the way they are shot, the use of missiles and lasers in what looks to be olden times, and some of the slightly flat acting all look rather ominous.
Still, after the success of The Host (Gwoemul) (Filmstalker review) I'm more than willing to give it a go, and as I said, it does looks superb.
The story of D-War? Well, seems pretty simple. Ancient creatures return to the modern world from past legend and seek out a girl called Sarah who, along with a reporter who is hot on her trail, are reincarnations of two people who were killed during the ancient battles, perhaps they are being brought together to defeat it once and for all? It stars Jason Behr, Amanda Brooks and Robert Forster, and is directed by Hyung-rae Shim. Have a look for yourself and see what you think, I have to say that the teaser is pretty poor, especially with the titles, they are laughable.
Have a look for yourself. In the main article there are two trailers, a teaser, and a link to a newer trailer that's just appeared online.

After all this there's the latest trailer from MoviesOnline [Flash:Embed] which opened my eyes to it. Where would you class the film?
