Liv Tyler joins The Incredible Hulk

LivTyler.jpgLiv Tyler is to join Ed Norton in The Incredible Hulk, and lend even more star power to this comic book adaptation. She is set to play Betty Ross, the estranged love of Bruce Banner's life.

According to the story the film will begin with Ross estranged from Banner who is on the run trying to find some cure for the monster that keeps erupting from him during moments of anger. However as the chase to find him gets closer the more she is pulled back into his life.

Yes, I know it's incredible to believe that this is attracting such big stars, but it is the story that's being reported by The Hollywood Reporter through IfItsMovies.

Okay, so there's some form of continuity with the way the character looks, but that aside we now have the talent and Hollywood might of Liv Tyler behind the film. Add that to Ed Norton and it's hard to believe we're talking about an The Incredible Hulk film.

The casting for this film just gets stranger and stranger. I'm struggling to imagine Liv Tyler and Edward Norton having any chemistry together if I'm honest. Both have such different acting styles.

I preferred the combination of Eric Bana and Jennifer Connolly if i'm honest. It just seems to suit the movie more.

Who's next, Anthony Hopkins as the villain?

Crazy crazy idea. Liv is a lovely lady but she's very big-boned, whereas I think Edward Norton is quite a small guy. The two together will just jook ridiculous.

I'm one of the few people who enjoyed Ang Lee's Hulk movie (it took a couple of viewings!) but everything I'm reading about the remake smacks of throwing out the baby with the bathwater and it's sounding more and more like it's going to be a train wreck. Odd thing is that the first movie actually made money. Will the follow-up?
