Twisted release horror serial online

PCScreen.jpgThe idea of serials on the Interflab is growing with the production company who made the Saw series, Twisted Pictures, about to start a serial horror film online.

The film will be posted in daily webisodes each being about three minutes long and will be seen on the site break.com. Initially it's entitled The Internet Killer, not too surprisingly I guess.

I recently wrote about Open Plan Films, who made the great film Eve of Understanding (Filmstalker review), and their webisode serial called Slug which is showing over on YouTube, however this film differs somewhat as it seems to be the first time that a web series has been shot as a feature film.

It'll be interesting to see how this turns out, but for now the news from Variety sounds very positive for the film. Not only is the plan to show the feature online but there will be additional interactive content to try and pull the viewers in.

I'm not so sure that this will be such a huge hit, but considering it's Twisted there's a good chance that we'll see some strong content, especially with a distribution environment that is much less restrictive.

The question is though, would you watch something like this? If not, why not, is it internet connection, computer capability or location, or some other reason?
