Wayans Super Bad James Dynomite to be film

SuperBadJamesDynomite.jpgThe Wayans are still fighting hard, despite the run of incredibly awful comedies, they've got a new project on the go and this one is a superhero comic book character.

Not only that but the brothers Marlon, Shawn and Keenen Ivory Wayans wrote the comic book that has been adapted by Marlon and Shawn Wayans along with Xavier Cook and Mitchell Marchand. Oh, and one more thing to keep the Wayans involved, Marlon Wayans is set to star in the film.

The news from Variety reveals that Rogues Pictures have bought the rights to the comic book and adapted script called Super Bad James Dynomite.

The story is about a man who is framed and sent away to prison in an era and world of blaxploitation. When he is set free he is totally out of step with the current world and must regain his coolness and find his revenge in this new world.

Now to me that sounds like a black Austin Powers, which isn't a bad thing, don't get me wrong, it's just that so many of their projects seem to have been done before in some form. Even so you just have to hope that it turns out better than some of their previous projects.
