3:10 to Yuma trailer online
The trailer for 3:10 to Yuma is online and it is looking rather good, like a shiny and polished western, and in fact that's what it is. I wouldn't be calling it stunning though, not yet.
3:10 to Yuma is a remake of a classic western from 1957 starring the equally classic Glenn Ford. This version stars the talents of Christian Bale, Russell Crowe and Peter Fonda, and it tells the story of a small family man rancher who agrees to look after a captured outlaw who is waiting on the next train out of Yuma. However they have to get there first, and then survive the night, all the while the rancher and outlaw are going head to head against each other.
The trailer does look great, the filming is strong and the production looks great. The main two things that caught my eye were Peter Fonda looking and sounding fantastic, and Russell Crowe looking far from the menacing outlaw he is playing, perhaps that's the point and the off guard feeling the audience are going to get during the film. However, don't take those comments to mean that Christian Bale isn't looking great in the trailer, because he is, and that's perhaps the point. Everyone looks strong in the trailer.

What do you think then? Are you really coming away from that trailer thinking it's amazing, or are you coming away thinking it's good, but you're not stunned by it?
